Oral sedation is taken in the form of a pill shortly before treatment. This will help the patient remain calm and relaxed during treatment. It typically takes a few hours for the medicine to wear off, so it is necessary to have an adult companion to transport the patient home.
Laughing gas is an inhaled vapor used before and during dental treatment through a special mask. Laughing gas is known for resolving any feelings of anxiety nervousness. The patient will return to normal almost immediately after the mask is removed. Laughing gas is safe for patients of all ages.
