Dentures in
Germantown, Maryland

Tooth loss is a common issue that can present many challenges. In addition to damaging the look of one’s smile, missing teeth make it difficult to speak and chew and can lead to facial structure loss, jawbone deterioration, tooth shifts and bite imbalances. For those reasons, it is important to treat any tooth loss promptly.

Here at Crown Dental Care, we offer a variety of tooth replacement options. We will work closely with you to determine the treatment that best meets your unique needs.

Traditional Dentures

Traditional dentures are prosthetic teeth attached to a gum-colored base. They do not require any surgery as they rely on grip and suction from the jawbone and the dental arch gum tissue to remain steady. A complete set of traditional dentures can be used to replace an entire row of missing teeth. Our custom-made dentures are designed to look natural and provide the same functions as your original teeth. Traditional dentures are removed nightly for cleaning.

Fixed Dentures

Fixed dentures use surgically placed dental implants to remain in place permanently. The dental implants provide the functions of natural tooth roots which helps the fixed dentures to feel natural and secure. One of the advantages of dental implants is that they fuse with the jawbone which prevents the bone deterioration that is typically associated with tooth loss.

Denture Stabilization

With this treatment, we use surgically placed dental implants to keep prosthetic teeth securely in place. The denture can still be removed for cleaning, but when it is attached to the implants, it is stable and secure. As with fixed dentures, the implants act as tooth roots preventing bone deterioration and providing exceptional stability and comfort.
